In the old days before the Christianera, this branch of science was taught to one another among Dayak Bidayuh community; but it was not put in writing because during that period Dayak Bidayuh were illiterate and at later days those who could read and write in their own mother tongue were not interested in the study of omens. Hence the purpose of this writing on Dayak Bidayuh occult arts of divinations is to revive the use of Dayak Bidayuh omens and signs.
